Pak Mei Fist School
Curriculum Author: Sifu Wong Yiu Kai (6th Generation). A book written solely in Chinese, depicting the systems curriculum as taught under the Cheung Beng Lum lineage. Interestingly, while flicking through this
small book it looks like it gives a good account of Si Jo Cheung Lai Chuen
history as told by his 2nd Eldest son. The book also shows the order
in which the Pak Mei system is taught under Si Bak's lineage with various
photos of his top disciples posing in movements from the various forms in
the system. |

Shaolin White Eyebrow Fist
Boxing Author: Ye Yu Ting - Kindly donated to me by a Pak Mei brother in Taiwan, Tim Greenwood. A book written solely in Chinese, depicting the systems first form - Jik Bo Kuen (Straight Step Punch). Interestingly, while flicking through this
small book (though I can't read a word of it), it gives hand drawn diagrams
of the movements in Jik Bo Kuen, as well as some of the traditional strength
building exercises, dim mak charts showing the various acu-points that the
Pak Mei system targets and some very basic explanations of the applications
of the Straight Step Punch. |

|
Pak Mei Fist Techniques Author: Sifu Lee Ngai Shing - Copy kindly donated to me by Juan Morales - Authentic Pak Mei Kung Fu - Malaga, Spain Various accounts from different Pak Mei sources, tell me that this is exactly the same book as the one below, just with another cover. From all accounts, this particular book is
now out of print. This book may give a beginner or a keen martial
arts enthusiast a good introduction into the system providing that you can
read Chinese! |

Shaolin White Eyebrow Fist
Boxing Author: Sifu Lee Ngai Shing A book written solely in Chinese, depicting the systems first form - Jik Bo Kuen (Straight Step Punch) that was published back in 1971. This book is most likely the original book
from which the book above has been taken from; it gives photographic
illustrations
of the movements in Jik Bo Kuen, as well as some of the traditional strength
building exercises, dim mak charts showing the various acu-points that the
Pak Mei system targets and some very basic explanations of the applications
of the Straight Step Punch. |

Pak Mei Kung Fu - White Eyebrow Author: H.B. Un. ISBN: 0-901764-19-1 One of the first books to be publicly published on this rare system of Chinese martial arts. The book focuses on the Gow Bo Teuw Kuen (9 Step Push Fist) set. Though it doesn't really go into a great deal of detail on the form. It does however, give a good account of the 'late' Great Grand Master Cheung Lai Chuen's history on how he came to learn and master this unique system. This book gives a beginner or a keen martial
arts enthusiast a good introduction into the systems lineage, history,
forms, etc. |

|
Pak Mei Tiger Fork - Left
Right Big Pa Author: Sifu Ng Yiu One of the only books to be published demonstrating one the many authentic Pak Mei weapon sets within the system. The book is written in both English and
Chinese with easy to follow diagram and illustrations of the Tiger Fork form
and some of it's applications against more traditional weaponry. |
|
|
The Complete Guide to Kung Fu Fighting Styles Author: Jane Hallander This is a fairly good book that gives a very reasonable descriptive overview of various styles of Chinese martial arts. The Pak Mei Kung Fu section, is provided with an interview between Jane Hallander and 5th Generation Pak Mei Sifu So Kim Kwong, in Hong Kong. Sifu
So, gives a very good account of the system folklore history and some of
it's concepts and fighting principles. |

Pak Mei Hei Gung (Bai Mei Qi Gong) - White
Eyebrow (Internal) Breathing Exercises Author: Unknown This is a rare book to get hold of. It demonstrates internal breathing sets specific to Emei Shaolin tradition. Unfortunately this book is completely written in Chinese characters with various photographic images depicting three different qi gong sets. Certainly one for the archive! |

Gow Bo Teuw Kuen Sifu Unknown - Kindly donated to me by a Pak Mei Brother in Taiwan - Tim Greenwood. Not really sure what to say
about this film, except this is what happens when Wu Shu try to make an
authentic style look pretty. |
|
|
Pak Mei Kwan (Bai Mei Gun) Sifu Li Sen Lin An interesting VCD
from the mainland. Bai Mei Gun, though it doesn't seem to follow any
of the traditional CLC (Cheung Lai Chuen) lineage stick forms, though this
could be from another lineage or a Wu Shu interpretation. However,
Sifu Li does perform this stick extremely well, while demonstrating the Pak
Mei body shape, power and footwork. |

Canton Pak Mei Sifu and Location - Unknown. Kindly donated to me by Nish. This looks like a personal film of a Pak Mei Sifu birthday celebration somewhere in Canton and is shot in very dark surroundings. The films shows various demonstrations of lion dancing, Sahp Jee Kuen, Gow Bo Teuw some weaponry forms such as the Spear and a never seen Nunchuku form and a whole lot more. |
